Those Dizzying Three Years I Spent with You (君と過ごした、あの目も眩むような三年間は Kimi to sugoshita, ano me mo kuramu yōna san-nenkan wa?) is the twelfth episode and finale episode of the The Detective Is Already Dead TV anime adaptation.
Synopsis[]
君塚の拳とカメレオンが交わろうとした刹那、天井から放たれた銃弾がカメレオンを貫く。そこにいたのは紛れもなく「名探偵」だった。
「君、私の助手になってよ」
4年ぶりの呼びかけに、君塚は上空一万メートルの懐かしい記憶を思い出す。名探偵とその助手は昔話に花を咲かせながらカメレオンに銃口を構える。Right before Kimizuka's fist and Chameleon's fist hit each other, a bullet that's shot from the ceiling pierced Chameleon.
The one who's standing there is the one and only, "Detective". "You, be my assistant" Hearing the lines he hasn't heard for 4 years, Kimizuka recalls the nostalgic memories from when he was 10.000 meters from the ground.
While the detective and her assistant reminisce about the old days, they aim their guns towards Chameleon.Summary[]
In a dreamlike flashback, an unconscious Kimihiko lays on Siesta's lap, she relays to Kimihiko a special message. Awakening from his unconscious state, Kimihiko speaks with Siesta possessing Nagisa's body. The two then face off against Chameleon and discuss what Kimihiko has been up to. Amid the fight, Chameleon transforms again into a larger more primordial form. However, Kimihiko and Siesta manage to defeat him in the end. The following day, Kimihiko informs Charlotte that he met Siesta, the news surprises her and she offers him to visit a florist one day to pick out a bouquet of flowers for Siesta's grave. Eventually, Kimihiko goes on a shopping trip with Yui and later talks with Fubi. Afterward, Kimihiko talks with Nagisa now in full control of her own body at a bar, it's there that Kimihiko deduces that Nagisa allowed Siesta control of her body. Nagisa confesses that's true and agrees to continue to be Kimihiko's partner. Right when Nagisa tries to seduce Kimihiko, an announcement is made asking for a detective on board. Wasting no time, Nagisa drags along Kimihiko to the scene of the crime.
